Greer's End of School Party 5-27-08

Greer's End of the School Party had a fiesta theme. They did crafts, played games and had a HUGE pinata! It was amazing to watch how Greer took Brynn under her wing and included her in the classroom festivities! If only it could be like that more at home!!!! All in all it was a fun day. It's hard to believe that the kids have been out of school for over 3 weeks already.

Reegan's End of School Day 5-22-08

Reegan had her End of School Party on May 22nd. I was in charge of doing the games and water activities for the class. The kids ate pizza, played a bunch of games outside (before the lightning struck which forced us inside) and ate popsicles. The Schmidt's were here so Skylar was able to come along and meet Reegan's classmates. They had a really good time. Sooo much energy!

A Promise

I know that I have been horrible about keeping up with our blog and my apologies. The system is really slow right now and it looks like they are going to do some routine maintenance soon so I will come back to this later.... I PROMISE! Part of my motivation problem has been the 112+ temps these past days, but still that shouldn't be an excuse! Hope everyone is well and stay tuned.

Mother's Day

The girls each bought me a piece of jewelry for Mother's Day. Brynn gave me the bracelet, Greer the necklace and Reegan the earrings.... quite the ensemble!! Reegan also blessed me with a book of poems that she made in class. They are truly a treasure..... amazingly beautiful and thoughtful. It was a great day. Hope all of you "mom's" were pampered as well!

50's Sock Hop

Friday evening was the Annual Spring Fling/50's sock hop at the girls school. Marie made them all poodle skirts which they were thrilled about! They really did come out cute. Each girl got to pick their material color as well as what applique they wanted. Brynn chose the traditional poodle and Reegan and Greer decided on cats.
The evening was quite an event. Tons of lights strung throughout the trees in the courtyard, every carnival game you could imagine, grills for burgers and hot dogs, a DJ and dance floor that you couldn't get Greer off of..... they even had a hair spraying booth that the girls loved too.
Brynn walked her first "cake walk" and won 3 out of 3 times, she rather enjoyed picking out her own treats.

Brynn Turns 4

Another milestone.... Brynn is now 4. We had a family birthday party for her on Wednesday (4-30-08) after Kevin got off work. Brynn asked for steak for dinner and instead of cake, she wanted vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate sauce and strawberries. (I unfortunately forgot the whipped cream) It was funny to watch her methodically open her gifts....I think she was savoring every moment of being in the spotlight! Happy Birthday Boozer!!!
